For vendors

AxonVendor helps companies assess their vendors. For that we read public information of vendors. Here you read what we do, how to request a correction and how to exclude your domain.

What we do

  • We read public pages, such as your privacy, security and trust pages, the data processing agreement and the list of sub-processors, and quote briefly from them. Never whole pages.
  • We run passive checks on DNS, mail and TLS: the same questions a mail server or browser asks.
  • We never log in, never fill in forms and never scan for vulnerabilities.
  • An analysis describes what a URL stated on a date ("On [date], [URL] stated: '…'"), and never anything about you as a company. What we did not find is listed as "not found on the pages examined", with those pages and the date.
  • We never contact you on behalf of a customer, and we never tell which customers had your service analysed.
  • We keep the text of the pages we read privately for 12 months as evidence. The full page text never goes into a document; only short quotes of at most 300 characters.

User-Agent and limits

All our requests come from AxonVendor/1.0 (+https://vendor.axonfactory.ai/leveranciers).

  • At most 23 requests per vendor, with at least 1 second between two requests to the same host.
  • Only ordinary page requests, as a browser makes them, and at most 2 MB per page.
  • What we collected, we use for 24 hours for all customers who have the same vendor analysed. That way we do not ask again for every order.

robots.txt and the TDM reservation

We follow the rules in robots.txt for all crawlers (*) and for AxonVendor. We follow a TDM reservation when it is machine-readable through TDMRep (tdmrep.json, the HTTP header or the tdm-reservation meta tag). Rules in robots.txt that only apply to AI crawlers, such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot or anthropic-ai, we do not follow. A reservation that is only in your terms of use we do not recognise automatically. The text we collect is searched for statements by a language model of Anthropic. If you do not want to be examined, use the exclusion below.

Request a correction

Is something wrong in what we state about your service? Fill in the form or e-mail support@axonfactory.ai. We answer within 10 working days.

We check it against the stored evidence. If it was there on that date, it stays and we collect again for a next analysis. If something went wrong in extracting or wording it, we correct the evidence, so that it no longer goes into new analyses. We do not tell you which customers received an analysis.

Exclude your domain

Do you not want AxonVendor to read your public pages and check your domain? Enter your domain and an e-mail address on that domain. You get an e-mail with a link; only when you use it does the exclusion count.

After the exclusion we collect nothing from your domain any more. Analyses then state "not examined". What we collected before, we keep for up to 12 months after collecting it, as evidence for analyses delivered earlier.
